Mohonasen student-artists joined over 1,000 of their peers in kindergarten through eighth grade from 66 schools across the Capital Region as they participated in the eighth annual Empire State Plaza Art Collection Student Exhibition in March.
Thirty students from Mohonasen represented the district – from the classes of Pinewood teacher Katie Allain and Draper teacher Steven Blais. The students created artwork based off of existing works from Empire State Plaza artists in the style of abstract expressionism. The event’s keynote speaker was Jillian Hirsch, a local clay mural artist.
