Mohonasen’s Olympics of the Visual Arts for Fashion Design took first place at the statewide competition on Thursday, April 6. Of the 17 high school districts participating, Mohonasen clinched first place after taking second place two years prior.
The following students turned in amazing performances and made Mohonasen proud: Brinn McDermott, Paige Enders, Jenny Peretta, Bruce Phillips, Arabella Ryan, Ashley Peretta, Julianna Huba, Emma Phillips, Veronica Audette, Sophia Sacchetti and Rebecca Cecil.
OVA is a group of high school students who participate in a competition about fashion. The challenge is released in January as the students meet weekly, then every day as the competition gets closer. The students create themed dresses made entirely out of paper, then model the dress on the runway for the judges, competing against schools across the state.
