Although all school meals are free at this time, it is still important for you to send in a free or reduced application if you qualify.
New York state is planning to provide P-EBT Food Benefits for the current school year. In order for a household to be eligible to receive those benefits, their application must be processed prior to the district providing the qualifying information to New York State. The state could ask for this information any day.
If no application is submitted for a household that would qualify, those households will miss out on these P-EBT funds, and they could also be excluded from other financial benefits, such as reduced testing fees and reduced “College in the High School” courses. Complete and return the current application right away.
