Over the past few weeks, there was an unanticipated growth in kindergarten enrollment as new students registered with the district. Because of the increase, kindergarten class sizes are currently beyond what Mohonasen believes is appropriate.
Monday night, Superintendent Shannon Shine and the Board of Education made a decision to create an additional kindergarten section at Bradt Primary School. Principal Leslie Smith will be working with the kindergarten teachers to ensure that there are balanced classes, but every section will likely be impacted.
If your child is moving to a new class, you will be notified by Thursday, Sept. 19. Transitions will happen Monday, Sept. 23.
There will be an Open House at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. This will give you an opportunity to meet the new teacher and see your child’s new classroom.
